The only thing I am curious about is if it was something from Amazon, or from some third party reseller that Amazon had nothing to do with.
I only buy items that qualify for Prime and are shipped by Amazon from their warehouses, and prefer “Shipped and Sold by Amazon.” I’ve taken advantage of their no-hassle return policy about a half dozen times last year.

Thanks for these links. I’ll have to see what they claim to be. The typical FTDI-style cable only does TX, RX and GND these days, but there are some that add two more flow control lines. The PCs don’t care much these days, as they fake things in the driver if it isn’t being provided by the USB interface.
I am doing nothing with USB for mine, so it won’t get me any closer, but I do need a “full” RS232 adapter for other testing. Thanks!
