[Coco] OT: discord update error

Good advice for troublesome programs.

Be sure to create a Restore point first and

CREATE an New System Image (Weekly for my systems)

Backup and Restore (Windows 7) is the tool, they have yet to rewrite and 
destroy the W7 working version.

And create a restore disk.

I was able to recover from a HDD failure by just inserting the Windows 
Install disk and telling it that I wanted to do a restore from USB 1TB 
drive which had the last image I had taken of my HDD. The SSD was loaded 
and the W7 system came up just like it was three weeks before. (It took 
some time to realize that the HDD needed to be replaced.)

If no CD / DVD you can create a USB Flash drive or use one the tiny 1TB 
or 2TB RMS drives.

Be sure and do all steps if you start to delete stuff in Programs Files 
/ Program Data / or the Virtual Store / Registry / Virtual Registry.

The Laptop failed a few months later, two new motherboards would not 
work so I had to buld a new Laptop. I was able to plug the SSD into 
another of my systems and save the system image so I got most stuff back.

Sadly I have yet to figure out how to get some applications back that 
Sony pre-loaded. I have the install medium but Adobe Acrobat must have a 
check and a message "This is NOT a Sony Laptop. Well it is a Vaio but 
NOT a Sony Vaio.
