Hi Everyone,
I wanted to clear something up about those 11,000 + Midi Files I just uploaded to Guillaume's Site.

Many (but I'm sure NOT ALL) of these files I've collected over the years (and it took quite a number of them) have been from different Web Sites (ALL OVER the world) and while many of them are in the Public Domain there ARE some (I am sure) that might be copyrighted. There are some files that I created and/or composed in here as well. I'm not to sure HOW MANY though. It could be between 100-800 but you'll have to search for them as I can't remember where I put them. Have fun with that. But to continue...

My suggestion is that IF you are interested in a particular file, to look at ALL the information included WITH the file itself (and inside the file itself). Just to make sure it's in the Public Domain. If there is a PERSON'S NAME in the file I would contact (or at least TRY) to contact them and ask permission to use whatever file it is that you are interested in. At least that way you're covered.
Also, quite a few of these files were downloaded after October 27, 2009, when Yahoo Inc. shut down the Geocities service, which hosted a number of Web Pages dedicated to Midi users all over the world. I was lucky enough to grab a copy of SOME of the files that were saved and I've passed them down (to you and everyone) what I managed to save.

While the accolades for myself are nice (and greatly appreciated), I still want to remind everyone that Guillaume should also receive his fair share of the thanks for hosting and giving ALL OF US a chance to share and enjoy these files as well. Like I said before, if it wasn't for him, EVERYONE ELSE might not have seen these files in the first place. He is owed a great deal of thanks for everything he has done...

Thanks again Guillaume...
Take care everyone...
Joe...
