That is cool.  :)  I just went through some very old books I had picked up
from Radio Shack cause I thought I saw this circuit before.
They also had this circuit in the:
(Archer) Radio Shack Cat. No. 276-5015
Engineer's Mini-Notebook - Communications Projects.
The same circuit is on page 42 in this as well. :)
