Well Robert,

I get the same results as you on every /device I have.
Error 214:No Permission

Megaread Ident:

Header for: MegaRead
Module size: $007A #122
Module CRC: $A5A49C (Good)
Hdr parity: $51
Data Size: $04D2 #1234
Edition: $01 #1
Ty/La At/Rv: $11 $82
Exec. off: $0016 #22
Prog mod, 6809 obj, re-en, R/O

Just for grins, I tried an old version of megaread I know I have used in
the past, way past.......

It also gives an error 214

It's ident is:

Header for: MegaRead
Module size: $0034 #52
Module CRC: $FE97D8 (Good)
Hdr parity: $1C
Exec. off: $0016 #22
Data Size: $04C8 #1224
Edition: $01 #1
Ty/La At/Rv: $11 $81
Prog mod, 6809 obj, re-en, R/O

So it is something system wide? and not megaread itself?

Any how just wanted to let you know your not loosing it. :-)
