Actually my first thought was VED, but after reading the manual I found
this quote on page 3:
"If the file is found it will be read into Ved’s buffer. This buffer
automatically expands as your file grows. You do not need to use memory
modifiers. The maximum size file Ved can handle is approximately 53,000
characters. If the file you attempt to edit is larger than this size an
error message will be generated and Ved will terminate."
I was hoping VED would, but :(
