Do I change the DNS or not? Here is the ENTIRE list as it comes from a FRESH boot:DMODE /D0 nam=D0 mgr=RBF ddr=rb1773hpn=07 hpa=FF40 drv=00 stp=03 typ=21 dns=01 cyl=50 sid=02vfy=01 sct=0012 t0s=0012 ilv=03 sas=08 wpc= ofs= rwc=That is it. The same setup is also set up for /d1. I am using 3 1/2" 80tk drivesI did "ident -m rb1773", and our numbers match.I did "ident -m rbf", and again, our numbers match. This just leaves cleaning the heads on the drives.Thanks-----Original Message-----> From: Coco [mailto:coco-bounces at maltedmedia.com] On Behalf Of Robert Gault> Sent: Saturday, March 18, 2017 3:34 PM> To: CoCoList for Color Computer Enthusiasts> Subject: Re: [Coco] error 249>> Bill,>> If I understand the above, the answer seems simple but you still need to find what is wrong.> If you boot from your Coco floppy drive and can read Coco floppies correctly but get a > 249 error when booting from a DW4 disk, then there must be a problem with the rb1773,> rbf, or the D# descriptors on the DW4 disk.> The idents for rbf and rb1773 on the nos96809l2v030300coco3_dw.dsk I'm using are>> rb1773> size $5A9> crc $A4EB50>> rbf> size $12EE> crc $245E32> Regards the many comments about the descriptors, I am using MF2DD, 135 TPI, 80 track, > 3.5" disks in my drive#1.
