[Coco] Old CoCo software

Carlos Camacho idevgames at gmail.com

As I mentioned in another post, I purchased a large collection of CoCo
stuff. Before selling the items on EBay to recoup my expense, I thought to
ask if someone here wanted to buy the bundle. Ideally, someone who can scan
manuals and copy the software for the stuff not on the CoCo Archive.

Email me if interested. The list:

Tom Mix P51 Mustang Attack Flight Simulator (disks and manual... suppose to
allow CoCo to CoCo game play), Elite Software File, Word and Calc (disks
and manual), Datasoft Moon Shuttle (disk, tape, manual and box), Datasoft
Zaxxon, (tape, manual, box), Datasoft Pooyan, (disk, tape, manual, new in
box SEALED), Graphics Package by unknown (disk), Spectaculator by Tandy
(disk and manual) That's INTERSTing (disk and manual, interest
calculations), Super ColorWriter 1 and 2 (disk and tape and manual),
Weather Watch by Petrocci Associates (disk and manual), Colorcom/E by Eigen
Systems (no manual, disk), Cores 9 Assembly Language Editor and Assembler
(tape and manual), Business PAC 100 ready to run biz programs, (disks),
Disk Manager by Elite Software, (disk), Body Parts by Elite Software
(disk), grid paper for various CoCo screen sizes, BASIC AID user manual (no
cartridge, must have gotten lost)

Cheers,
Carlos

Is it possible that at some point you were connected to a router or other
device that didn't support 9k frames?

This isn't about updates, at least not recent ones... but it turns out that
somewhere between Windows 7 and Windows 10, there was a change that forces
all exiting threads to acquire a lock that only one thread can have at a
time, making it a bottleneck for Windows performance. More info here:

If anyone else is using the cocoflash and RS speech sound pak together I
finally made time and finished my hack of the menu program. It speaks the
name of the program you are loading. (as well as all the other changes)
It is a bit tedious to initially setup because of the SS/C's phonics but
after it is flashed to the pak it is a nice addition to the menu
If anyone is interested I can send you a copy of the hack
