Nothing has changed in Texas. 

As for other states, my guess is Newegg has added warehouses in Pennsylvania. They may have done it to reduce shipping times and costs.

Amazon started doing this a year or so ago, too. Originally, I think it was just for states where Amazon had a presence - like a warehouse or whatever.

I haven’t been paying much attention, but it seems to be the way things are going. Clearly, we all want more taxes so we vote in the representatives that will give this to us ;-)

When I ran Sub-Etha Software back in Texas, we only charged tax for orders from within Texas. Today, I’m not sure how small businesses are supposed to handle this. I have a business here in Iowa, but I haven’t been active with it the past few years when this started happening.
