[Coco] CoCoMax 3.5 Hi-Res / Hi-Res Adapter

Hello all,

Quick question about the Hi-Res Joystick Adapter and CoCoMax 3.5 (Hi-Res
version).

I've got a Tandy Deluxe Color Mouse and a couple of Hi-Res adapters
(26-3028.) Used in conjunction with CCM3.5 (Hi-res), the most I seem to
be able to do is click and move the mouse to one of four corners on the
screen.

I initially thought the first unit I bought on eBay was bad, because I
couldn't make it work with anything I'd throw at it. The second was
supposed to have a toggle switch, but the seller sent me the same one I
apparently already had. I *think* I had a toggle switch version some ~15
years ago that worked with one of the versions of CocoMax III floating
out there, but I'm not positive.

Is there a version of CoCoMax III, or perhaps MAX-10, patched to work
with a standard Hi-Res adapter? If not, is there an obvious application
I can try to verify they're working as expected? 

I do know that both of those applications did require their own, custom
hardware to function correctly, but I was also under the impression
there were patched versions floating out there to make them work with a
standard Hi-Res interface. If not, I know they can be modified
physically to work with at least CoCo Max III.
