Bill if you are referring to accessing dw drives in Nitros9, then the answer is no.
The DW driver for Nitros9 (rbdw) is hardcoded for only 4 drives. It would have to be edited and reassembled to give more than 4 then /x4 - /x255 descriptors would have to be assembled as well which is just a matter of renaming and renumbering descriptors.
I have actually made Nitros9 work with more than 4 drives but it's tedious to do so. In the long run, your just taking up more valuable space in system memory with more descriptors and personally, I see no need for more drives. A couple of large VHDs will do anything you need to do in Nitros9.

If you are referring to HDBDOS, then all 255 drives are supported already by using the "DRIVE#xxx" command. It's all in the HDBDOS manual.
