Good points Bill -- I tried to send him a message on the email forms of both coco4.com and srbsoftware.com but both email forms bounce w/ "This address no longer accepts mail".

I would think so too. especially, since he was allowing it to be downloaded from his own site not that long ago! I am quite certain that when I started looking at getting back in the CoCo as a hobby and searched google for "CoCo emulator".  His site was/still is 4th on the first page. I downloaded  SetupVcc1.42.zip on 4/8/15 from the coco4.com site.   So it has not been that long since he took it down.  It would be interesting to hear from him.

> From what I understood, Steve was "hosting" Vcc for download as Joseph was losing his site. If I'm not mistaken, it was downloadable from "Coco3.com" as well (or in the posts on the old sote) as Joseph used that forum to get feedback. Joseph "may" have given Steve a copy of the sources (and permission) to use for his "Coco 4" project, BUT... if Steve does own it, you can forget it. He won't even release his own software to public domain and is ocassionally on here telling everyone to remove his 30 year old stuff from their sites.

> And if you check the download page, the download link has been removed (??).
> Also, Steve has never mentioned Vcc or the fact it was modified for DW4, or that it's publically available on almost all download sites. Vcc and it's sources have been the subject of MANY posts to this list (some very heated) and in all our conversations of Vcc (some of which went on while Steve was actively posting to threads here), he has never chimed in to say he owned it or anything about it. That being very unusual of Steve (if he owns it) LOL
