[Coco] startup file oddity

Hi all,
I'm playing around with NitrOS9 and my CocoSDC, and came across an odd 
behaviour.

in part, my startup looks like this:

...
date -t
mouse
unlink mouse
shell i=/w7 path=/DD/CMDS /SDA/CMDS /SDA/USR/VED/CMDS /SDA/CMDS/MVUE 
/DD/SCRIPTS&

Strangely, the last command is not being executed. If I move that line 
further towards the beginning of the startup file, it does execute.

Any clues?
