I don't manage SLENB, but I do turn on the data bus buffer (ls245) on
when I see SLENB low,

Yep, and if there is a cost to fixing it, charge me, as I am the cause,
at least indirectly.

Well, they said it was not working before the unit went bad. It would
work as the only cart in the MPI, but when they put a 500 or 501 in the
system, it gave errors. I can trace SLENB.

Now, SLENB is not buffered by the device, so maybe the signal is getting
slewed too badly. I guess I should have scoped it last weekend.

Anyone have a SuperIDE and a FD500/501/502 they might let me borrow or
rent? :-) Or, maybe I can wire up the SLENB signal to a temp gate to
buffer it, and send the unit to someone for testing who has a setup that
includes the SuperIDE.
