I stopped buying from Dell years ago.
Here is a poem for you...
What's the hell?
What's that smell?
It's a Dell?
Can't you tell?
Last time I contacted HP for restore disks for a laptop that was long out of warranty, they sent them for a nominal fee of a few dollars that I imagine covered shipping and handling. I needed some for an old Apple once, and they sent the disks absolutely free. IBM/Lenovo made disks available to me as well for shipping and handling. Dell's attitude is inexcusable and I am sure will cost them customers in the competitive computer market.
