[Coco] any source of 2x20 edge connector for the coco 2 or 3 ?

I should look at remapping the traces then to take care of the pin inversion. We should still be able to achieve the original intent. the board's connectors were connected by straight-through pathways. If I recall correctly, the socket alternates each sequential ribbon conductor up-down-up-down... I think I have such a cable laying around (40 pin IDE?). I can check this with a multimeter perhaps. However, if every pair is simply inverted like you say, would it be solved by simply inverting the connector pads? That is to say.. All TOP pads straight through to BOTTOM and the BOTTOM pads straight through to TOP? This would be a easy redesign.

Chad,
naturally I tried the easy way first, used two 40-pin sockets
crimped onto a ribbon cable. One of these was plugged
into the Coco's card slot via your board, the other to an FDC
cartridge. Unfortunately, all of the even pins became odds
and the odd pins even. (1>2, 2>1 ... 39>40, 40>39 etc.)
That's why I had to solder the cable to the board such a way
to get the Coco's card slot pin-1 connected to the FDC's pin-1.
