[Coco] DriveWire 4 under Linux: How to add device?

Jens, try two things(I just went through the same thing running Linux in a VM),
First, run DW4, goto "Simple Config Wizard" in the "Config" menu. Selet TCP for emulators. Click next for all the defaults. Click finish. You will get nothing but "trying to connect".
Now open the "Simple Config Wizard" again, select your Coco, and it will re-scan the ports. ttyUSB0 should show up.
For some reason, it seems the port gets locked by the config on startup, though it's never been used. By selecting TCP, it releases the serial port so it can then be selected.


If this fails, try running DW4 as SU. If that works, then the permissions need to be set for the port. I haven't quite figured out how to do that yet (Linux newbie)

I would like use the USB DriveWire under Linux.

I see it:

~ $ sudo lsusb | grep UART

So it's assigned to "/dev/ttyUSB0"

But the DriveWire 4 java app didn't found a serial port. I have tried to use 
"Add port manually" and use "/dev/ttyUSB0" as the name. But without success...

How to setup?
