I found a place  that has  some of these chips  was just thinking of having some around just in case I needed them  for a blown controller if it ever happens or  if I get a controller  that doesn't work   id rather not  damage the  labels on my  controllers unless I really had to  I hve  a big controller that's  has a older label on it that is  1.1  then I have a big controller  that has a label  that looks like  whats on a  501 controller  then I have 2  501 controllers  always good to have backup  chips since  there getting harder to find

Depends which model controller you have.  Why not just open it up and
look?  (The screw's under the label.)
