[Coco] FD-500 ITEMS NEEDED

the drive  door open/shuts fine it seems  but when  u open the drive door/latch  its  seems loose/weak doesn't spring back  up as well

That "weak latch spring" is more than likely the plastic rosette that 
centers the disk on the spindle, has collapsed.  If you bring it to the 
drive hub, and can then wiggle it sideways, its collapsed.  You should be 
able to feel its fingers entering the hub with a few grains of resistance.  
Only if its tight, will it properly center the disk on the hub.  Short of 
finding an internal "Truarc" snap ring of the correct size to set into the 
inside of the fingers, pushing the fingers back out in time (it is called 
cold flow), I know of no other cure since they are all old & grey bearded 
by now.
