Oh, the ST!

I remember buying the ST and having to wait a year (!) to get my copy of
BASIC. I was looking forward to writing BASIC programs that would allow me
to use windows in my programs. Turns out that the number of windows were
limited, and that the interpreter made use of all of them. It wasn't long
after that that I sold the computer to someone else. (And stayed with the
CoCo...)

Yes, I know that C was available. I even had a copy of it. The machine
looked promising, but never kept any of those promises.

Still a bit sore about the VIC-20. I liked the computer, but I never
really understood the methods of drawing graphics on the screen. Sure,
it's a simple concept of reprogramming the character set; but how to
determine which bit to set/reset in which character? Most people I knew
gave up learning to write programs and bought them instead. The CoCo was
far easier to learn. LINE? CIRCLE?
