[Coco] 2-button joysticks on a CoCo 1/2

If I plug a CoCo 3 joystick in a CoCo 1/2 and do a PEEK(&HFF00) while
pressing the second button, will I get a 0 bit in the correct position?
(Value AND 4 = 0)
