Do ex-pats count?  Born in Des Moines in '34, raised mostly on a farm, 
left when they put up a stop sign that I passed (it wasn't there the day 
before) going to work one morning in '58 & took my drivers license on 
points.  Took the then new missus & 2 kids, went to CA for a year, came 
back, then went to SD to build some Titans, and finally got me a SD DL 
about a year later.  Liked the black hills, good deer hunting and great 
fishing so I bought a place & stayed for about a decade.

I sort of liked Iowa, and have always said it was a good place to be from.
