Note that this is when using a "class one" device on both sides of the
link.  The firefly has a class one radio, but most adapters and the radios
found built into phones and laptops are class two.  Class two is a much
weaker radio with 1/10th the maximum theoretical range of class one.

I get about 50 feet of usable range when using my smartphone to run
drivewire for a coco connected to the firefly.  I suspect that if two
fireflys were paired to each other you might see the 300+ ft range they
claim, but not with ordinary stuff.
