Could you tell me if the RBF is what's responsible for setting up and
managing the serial I/O to the DW server?  I found RBDW and DWIO<COCO1
variants and since the CoCo1 runs at a lower baud rate (I think) this would
seem probable to me.

I believe you can load the dw modules on any of the standard boot
disks that the NitrOS9 project generates.  The various builds are
because the boot sector needs different drivers for the initial load,
but as long as you choose the image that matches how you want to boot
up, the rest of the modules can be configured any way you like.
