Yeah,  I guess I should say support for all of the dw4 extended features
are "per application" in BASIC/outside of OS9, for now.

One can certainly use the dw4 printer or other facilities from basic, it
just would mean hacking the program to do that (and I think in many cases
it would not even be difficult).  You could even hack BASIC itself and get
some level of compatibility with at least simple programs.
The real issue with basic support is just my lack of knowledge combined
with my lack of interest, os9 is where I like to be :-)   As demonstrated
with the DW version of Lyra,  it can be done by someone with the skill to
do such things.
