[Coco] Is anyone else using Xroar?

Tony,
I use XRoar on ocassion, but since I aquired a real Coco 1, I don't use it as much as I did.
I run the Windows GTK snaps so that I have full menu access. The "standard" Windows version has no menus and uses cntrl key combos to bring up menu items.

The one thing I have noticed, is that in the windows version, the 6 bit DAC sound is garbbled. Other than that, I had no other problems. The emulation was near perfect. I've had XRoar running Lyra through the becker port to have DW Midi and it worked perfect. I also run NitrOS9 level 1 with becker port to have access to VHDs. My main reason for running XRoar was to get the C compiler going under NitrOS9 Level 1 but I never got it right. It seems NitrOS9 uses a bit more sys memory than OS9 and it's just enough to inhibit the C compiler or I was just doing something wrong. I remember the C compiler being a challenge to run on a Coco 2 OS9 L1 in the old days. That's one of the reasons I never worked in C on level 1.

You're trying to run it on a Mac right? I was trying to help someone set it up on a Mac recently (through email) and we never got it to work. He was running Mountain Lion. There was some problem with the roms being recognized. Also, the person I was helping knew nothing of computers which made it even harder since I knew little about Macs.
