[Coco] Just got my 5x HD63C09

I got 5 of these as well, and they are definitely fake. I have some originals
that I got as samples from a US distributor in the late 90s, and I use these
as a basis for comparison. The original Hitachi chips use a silver paint for
the marking, while the fake ones from ebay were marked with a laser. The
marking is harder to read and it is more yellowish/brown than silver. Also,
the Hitachi chips have 2 circular depressions on the top of the case, while
the fake ones have none.

Just because they're not Hitachi parts doesn't mean that they won't work.. The
seller does claim that they are 'new', so it's possible that a Chinese fab got
the Hitachi masks and ran a batch of these on some old semiconductor
equipment. But I don't think I'll put these chips in any of my Coco 3s any
time soon. I also just ordered another 5 6309s from this seller:

The chips pictured in this auction look just like my old original chips, and
the seller claims that they are 'old stock', so maybe they are real Hitachi
parts. I'll let you all know how the look when I get them.
