If it does come down to needing some more money, why not post the items online for a silent bid auction? Anyone who is interested could submit their max bid and when the date comes around, whomever has the highest bid wins.

This is another idea that has been pitched, but ... who will run it? I figure we show up on Friday, line up some good prime items that will be sold on Sunday, and they get listed on e-Bay with a 48 hour window :) We (the volunteers) would have to be ready with boxes and packing stuff (print and pay for shipping online, so need a printer) and have it packaged and be dropped off Sunday or Monday by one of us.

I would be glad to help out with this if there was a need for it. There have certainly been many years where it was unclear if there would be another festival up until the final hour of the event... It's nice to have a fallback. I really want to see an 80 year old Tony running the auction some day :)
