The first chip design that I worked on in the 69-71 time frame
had design rules in the same ballpark as today's PCBs:
6 mil metal / 6 mil spacing. The same for p+ diffusions.
And only those two levels of interconnect to HUGE
xistors.

How far we've come!
Can't wait to see what's next......
