If the chips have the same number, that should be fine.  I think the
SAM and PIAs might be  different in some CoCo 2s vs. the CoCo 1.

Of course, unless the chip(s) in question are socketed in both
machines, that method is a considerable hassle.  The CoCo 2 might have
a soldered-in 6809, unfortunately.
