[Coco] NitrOS9 and B&B XT-RTC

Bob,
I stand corrected :-)
I justglanced at the hd.dd and saw the "dd".
And yes, merging the 2 into one file; "merge bbhdisk.dr hd.dd >BnBdrv" or something of that nature will save memory. Loaded independantly, they each take an 8k block. Merged, they reside in the same 8k block. Once loaded, "iniz /hd". Also, if you're loading a merged shell or merged util pak (with cmds), you may want to eliminate that from the startup while trying to get the BnB setup to work. It will give you more memory.
Personally, like Bob said, I think it's best just to make a new boot. I also have a BnB setup and when I got the system, the original owner forgot to send me the startup disk. I had to make one from scratch. I just started off with a standard Nitros9 drivewire boot disk and added the BnB driver and descriptors (mine has 2 ST-225s) and it booted on first try.
A word of advice, get your data off those drives as quick as possible. Both my BnB drives died not long after I got them going after 10 years of hibernation. Luckilly, I got most of the data off before they did. I was thinking of picking up 2 used ones but I think if I add another HD, I'll go SuperIDE and use one of my old IDE drives. They seem to be a little more stable than the old MFM format drives.

Bill,
I'll have to pull you up on this one.

Philip's descriptor is /hd, not /dd. It should work fine alongside the other
descriptors.

Other comments regardsing merging the driver and descriptor may help it to
work, but placing it in the OS9Boot will be the best. However, it is still
possible for that to fail. I'm working with another user trying to set up a
working OS9Boot for his SuperIDE with CDF. Currently the boot fails with a
"W" at the last; which IIRC means ERROR 207 - Memory full.
