That's odd.  I did a fresh update this morning and rebuilt.  All the 
makefiles used mamou - never saw a single reference to lwtools.

Is the lwtools build an option?

I know the feeling.  Welcome to the life of a software engineer :-).  It 
will make you long for the transmitter room...
