It would be surprising if the dw version matters, but you can test by
trying with the DW3 program in place of dw4.  Assuming you are running at
115.2k instead of 230 or 460k then its simply a matter of running one
instead of the other.  If you're trying to use one of the higher speeds I
would recommend going down to 115.2 anyway until its sorted out just to
simplify things.

BTW 4.0.5 is an old version of dw, we are on 4.3.1,  not sure if that is
just you directory name or the actual version you are using.  There have
certainly been some bugs fixed since 4.0.5.
