Looks to me (and I have a certain amount of experience with such
things) like it quite likely would fit.

If it doesn't, a possibility that should not be neglected is cutting a
hole in the top of the controller.  I did this once, to accommodate a
Disk EPROM that was piggybacked atop a SmartWatch.  But the SmartWatch
is much fatter than a typical adapter.  I doubt the pictured adapter
would require this.
