Yes, to sum up:

Samsung 214T 20" monitor:  Great display, but in use at another location.

Samsung 730MW TV/Monitor:  Awful

Sharp 13" TV/Monitor: Awful

I have a Dell 2001fp on its way to me from an eBay vendor in MA.  That 
should solve the problem.
