Ridk, that was pretty cool!
I went through something similar a couple of years ago getting files off an MFM (B&B) drive that would only run for a few minutes then get hot and shut down. It wouldn't run gain until it cooled. It took me 2 weeks to get everything off that drive, but I got everything but a few corrupt files :-)
