Do you remember or have reference to the Steve Bjork article?
I've searched the indexes and find only 4  by Steve. The 3 "Mouse" articles and the "Programmer's Dream", Coco 3 intro article

A straightforward SAVEM would be limited to PMODE resolution screens,
though.  Steve Bjork published a program in Rainbow that added commands to
CoCo 3 Basic for saving and loading higher resolution CoCo 3 graphic
screens, which are stored outside the 64K memory map that SAVEM accesses.
