[Coco] DSKINI sounds

Before doing anything else, clean all contacts with a pencil eraser. Then clean the drive heads with alcohol and a qtip (very gently & carefully). Let the heads dry for a time as the alcohol will eat your disk if there's any on the head, especdially old disks and I don't think there's many "new" ones around. If this doesn't work, then start trouble shooting the drive/controller.

I get at most 1 or 2 slow long clicks/grinds and then just running sounds..

The FD-500 cart seems very unreliable, booting into DECB only one or
two out of three attempts, both with and without the modified MPI

I'm thinking it's dead, Jim - just not sure which bit

Any suggestions on how I can diagnose which part is toast?
