Does anyone know where I can find the roms (disk basic and ecb) to run jeffs
emulator in dos?

I have an old pentium 600 that would make a nice freedos/coco dedicated
emulator but I can't find the roms anywhere.

Kind of ridiculous that people still worry about them being copyrighted. I
really don't think anyone would mind them being shared...

You can run Jeff's emulator in DosBox using FreeDos. Just google them and
read
instructions. They are free and work really well. You still get some strange

colors in full screen but I think this is more of a problem with "modern"
graphics cards and their capabilities having changed since the old MSDOS
days.

Hi,
What computer and OS are you using?
The further you get away from MSDOS up the MS OS sequence the worse it gets.
The OS I would recommend is Windows 98 SE as you can get into MSDOS mode
icely.
Have you run the Test program in Jeff's CoCo 2 emulator to see if your
ystem is up to running the CoCo 3 emulator?
If you are running Vista or W7 I suggest you take a look at VCC which is
uch more usable on them as it is a Windows program. There are ways to run
SDOS programs on Vista and W7 but hey are not nice IMHO.
Your results are not stupid, you are trying to run a old program designed
or MSDOS on a much more modern OS perhaps that does not allow some things
o be done.
Perhaps someone can post the instructions on how to put Windows 98 SE onto a

tick USB drive and use your computer in a dual boot mode if your computer
ould allow it.
I would also like to get those instructions also.
The bottom line, while VCC has it's limitations, I can do my simple tasks
ith it. Others can run their games.
I am perhaps the last person to be interested in John's and Jeffs's
mulators, perhaps because I ran then so long. I have tools that make it a
iable option.
Most people today wish to Mess around.

Who is the resident guru on the TRS-80 COLOR COMPUTER 3 EMULATOR Ver. 1.6B
 by Jeff Vavasour?

I'm FINALLY getting around to trying it, and coming up with some STUPID
 results.

1-my DOS screen pops up as a purple background with grey letters

2-when I go into 'full screen' mode, it becomes a green screen with
 nothing but ',' in it.
