[Coco] How to get into CoCo 6809 assembly?

I think I'd like to use the CoCo 3 itself for writing assembly. Does that mean EDTASM+ or that plus the patch Robert Gault sells?

I saw EDTASM+ in cart form before, but the patch seems to want it in disk form. Both exist?

Is there a nice set of example code -- little small test programs that utilize the CoCo 3 anywhere?

Thanks.
