I my superIDE mega pak I include a small tool I made:

It's called side.exe (again ?). You need cygwin or recompile it in
linux. You can just transfer an image like this:

to get an image from CF: side get disk.dsk 128 /dev/sdb1

to put: side put games.dsk 7 /dev/sdb1

You only need to know where is mounted your CF card with:

cat /proc/partitions

and the the size you can find it.
