[Coco] Hard to get coco to swap artifact color pallets.

I've been playing with a coco 1 and on some games, it is near impossible to get the right artifact pallet.

Currently I'm trying Goldrunner, and I've hit reset what seems like a 100 times and it always comes back blue background.

And tips or tricks to make it swap?
