I understand, but perhaps these these ideas should be acknowledged, and those quotes do not pertain to the CoCo either-not directly, they pertain to technology and a persons individual view of his era and the level of technology of the time. Well I suppose that is all that should be said, but remember that people should not ignore reality in favor of convenience and one's own self-interest, and the CoCo is part of this world and is important as a symbol of technological progress of humanity and is a part of history in it's own way and the fact the we have moved on from machines like this for the most part is a symbol of human greed and self-interest, in fact that is why it was supposedly replaced by the Tandy 1000 line....even though it was a really good machine.....but Tandy realized that their old-line Machine may not be able to compete against the IBM PC standard which was becoming prevalent at the time, and also they knew if their Machine was IBM-compatible, they could sell it at a higher price and in higher volume, and it would be at a reduced risk.
