[Coco] CoCoFEST! 2010...

Glad to see everyone made it back safely. I finally got home around 11:00pm last night. As always, the fest was educational and full of interesting things. It was a tough choice between going to the fest or staying home to attend graduation on Saturday afternoon, but the CoCo won out! No harm; I drove to Lafayette this morning and picked up my diploma from the registrar's office on campus.

John Linville's work with CoCo 3 video was impressive, as was JohnMark Mobley's presentation on Hi-Color. Of course there were some of the regulars who couldn't make it this year, and then there was Howard, whose memory was very well represented at the show.

I'll agree with Mark: Don Weiss's presentation was fantastic. He gave insight into the history of the 6809, reasons for its demise and insight into the Hitachi 6309. Absolutely great stuff from a first-hand source. Don is a friendly guy who went out of his way to answer questions and give his insights.

And of course, seeing all of our customers and friends makes the trip worthwhile.

There was a video playing of Howard Luckey that I did not get a chance to see. Is that video available? I would love to obtain a copy.

Kudos to Glenside for keeping the fest alive.

We had it in our booth later Sunday afternoon showing off their unbelievable talents! AMAZING is an understatement.

What make this special to me was that we have been in contact via Email with these people and Don was the first that we have met in person and are able to put him back in contact with 6809 team. Thank you Don for the memories and to my professional life which has been entirely based on this machine and the chip you created. I hope Richard C.'s video taping did turn out!
