[Coco] 6809EP - Worth it?

The CoCo 1 and 2 use the slower 6809E.  The CoCo 3 uses a 68B09E
because the CoCo 3 is gauranteed to run at 1.78 Mhz. You can also use
the B in a CoCo 1 or 2.

Jameco currently has the 68B09E in DIP-40 package listed at $4.95 for
singles and $4.49 in quantities of 10+.
