Strangely enough, I just scanned 1982-07, 64 pages. I did the pages
with color in color, and the rest greyscale, 300dpi. The total size of
the pages in jpeg images is 97 meg. I then used two different programs
to create a pdf document. Both were set for 300 dpi. 100% quality. one
converter made a pdf at 41meg, and the other turned out 168 meg! go
figure that out!... I looked at both of them with acroread and
enlarged to 1600% I couldn't tell the difference between the files.
All pdf creators are not equal!..
