According to the RS232 specs,
6 = DSR
7 = Signal Ground
2 = TxD

These connections create a NULL modem
4 = RTS
5 = CTS

8 = DCD
20 = DTR

11 & 18 are not used.

So the chances are good this is for a special type of printer; the 11-18
connection may be for the printer to detect if the connector is plugged
in??

Digging thru boxes of old stuff I came across an odd CoCo serial cable.
I'm wondering if anybody knows what it was for. Here's the
