Sadly, most people today that have 3.5 inch floppies realize they have too
many that they no longer use and they just toss them. In some cases, they
just toss them all because they don't even use them any longer. I don't..
not on this PC.

I got lucky year before last. My boss did just that, he brought them to
work and tossed them in the dumpster.

Oh happy day! I dived right in there and got all the floppies. Tossed back
the 1.44s and kept the 720s. I gleaned about sixty of the 720s from that
lot. Soon after, I formatted them, tossed the ones that just refused to
format and now I have 55 of them.
I keep them in a controlled environment and I'm SO HAPPY to have them.
However, I don't think I'll ever use them all.

Since I have a good serial port to this PC, I can use LHA to backup the
stuff on the coco and store that onto CDs. I only need a floppy to make a
boot disk, or in the case of my CNC machine, an operating system with the
files needed for that.... or whatever else I choose to use the machine for.

I could share a few of these with others that may have a real need. Since
there are so few, I'll have to decide on how many each person that requests
some will get.
Just let me know if you want some and when the flood of requests are done
coming in, I'll make that decision and mail them to you.

Postage isn't a problem so don't worry about that. I can handle it. You pay
what I paid, except you won't have to go "Dumpster Diving".

Write to: floppies at TheTinBox.com give your name and address and you'll be on
the list. If there is are too many requests, then you might get only one, or
none.
It's a floppy lottery.. hehe

This email address is a temporary addy and will give you an auto response
with confirmation of your email and a way to contact me directly.
