Both USPS and Canada Post have a good setup for ePostage. In Canada,
service is VERY fast because there are no more post offices - it's all
done by retailers such as 7-11 and I have never waited more than 5
minutes except at Xmas. Since you can get most everything done online
and just drop your package at any mailbox in Canada your real costs
are for packaging and I have given away plenty of that - in fact I'd
like to give more away.

In the USA my experience is that Mailboxes Etc will pack and ship for
a very modest price and it's well worth considering -- except for
items like one 10 minute cassette tape which is what this was about.
