[Coco] debugging in MESS

Nothing is "going wrong", so to speak.. I just like to ensure that what 
I *think* my code will do, is actually what's happening in memory, and 
that my calculations in code are putting things in the right spot, etc.

Consider it more a preventative measure than "solving a problem"

I've found a DL for a debug-enabled version of MESS, so we can consider 
the case closed and I'll move on
